My mom had a Dinan catback installed on her new Mini today and it sounds awesome. Overall it’s a very good volume, doesn’t drone at all, and provides some fun pops and bangs. It’s basically perfect for her cause it’s fun without being obnoxious. I wish they still offered their catback for my Z3 Coupe , it has the tune and air intake setup but it needs an exhaust. Not that I would have the money for it any time soon anyways
overall for $480 bucks the exhaust is a very good value and sounds awesome. And to think Mini wants around 1000 for the John Cooper works performance exhaust

Well if you keep it out of sports mode and don’t hang gears/engine brake it doesn’t really do too many pops. Of course when I drive it’s a different story lol. She didn’t want it to be like my E34 which is a V8 with a magnaflow, sounds amazing but way too loud in general for her.

Yeah the styling is a little wilder than the last gen haha. The car also doesn’t feel like it handles as sharp as the last gen but it might just be the lack of feel with the electric steering that I assume the new one has

If you’re looking for something to go on the Z3, see if Stromung makes anything. Great sound on the Z3M/Z4M platforms (have one myself)

I’ve been recommended that before but they don’t offer anything for the non M. I got an email directly from one of the bosses within a few hours of asking, they seem like a great company. Sadly the only reputable options I can find for my car are the eisenmann and the super sprint, but they’re both around $1000 which is just too expensive. I’ll probably end up getting a custom one done eventually through a shop in philly I’ve used before. The car currently has a resonator delete so it’s got a little growl but still nothing crazy

Eisenmann is a solid choice, best option is to scour the forums as folks part with them (far and few). Personally I have never liked the Super Sprint sound

The eisenmann would be my choice of the two. I’ve heard them on some benz’s and it’s always been good, the supersprints I’ve heard have been so so. I do keep an eye on the forums but don’t see stuff too often.
One really intriguing idea I’ve had was I just saw an AC Schnitzer E36 M3 catback for sale, but the muffler looks pretty long so I would need to measure and make sure it could be fit properly by an exhaust shop
